Don Madden got his BBA in Finance, which led to a career in Air Force Rescue Helicopter maintenence. Travel to exciting
exotic places like Vietnam and New Hampshire followed. Thanks to the benefits of the GI Bill he acquired an
Elementary Education degree which led to a career selling life insurance. He did this for 32 years and got to meet a lot
of interesting people, some of whom actually liked him.
While living in New Hampshire, he took a ceramics class and made a number of wheel-thrown pieces. Fast-forward more
than 32 years and he started over again, but this time focused on only hand-built pieces. He considers his pieces
as sculpture rather than ceramics. Most of his current work encompasses figurative sculpture.
